Swiss Institute
Swiss Institute is treated here as a cultural and hospitality-facing precedent: a quieter urban interior where sustainability, utility, and formal clarity still need warmth, collectability, and social tact.
The useful lesson is how disciplined rooms can still carry atmosphere. Whitewashed timber, controlled light, warm metals, and calm furnishing decisions keep the space from becoming merely institutional.
For this project, we chose one of the spaces from our Inspiration: The Mosswood Cabin (link). Its wooden interiors, surrounded by a lush green forest, immediately resonated with SURU’s team. We carefully adapted the setting to ensure that the Teula collection would look its absolute best in this environment.
We see furniture not just as functional pieces, but as artworks. And like any artwork, they deserve a thoughtful backdrop — one that enhances their presence, draws attention to their details, and allows them to tell a story. It’s much like setting a stage in the theater: the right scenery sparks the viewer’s imagination and gives the product a new identity in their mind.
By blending the greens of the forest with the calm, grounding presence of wood, we tap into a universal sense of connection with nature. This setting not only frames the beauty of the Teula collection but also reflects the values of sustainability, care, and respect that SURU proudly stands for.
